The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the full year 2021 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 10.6% year–on–year to 56.3 million metric tons.
In Europe and the US, production increased by 13.6%, and 10.4% respectively. China registered a growth of 1.6%. Other Asian countries and other parts of the world combined registered an increase of 21.2% and 42.0% in steel production.
