The world stainless association has released figures for the full year of 2024, showing that stainless steel melt shop production has increased by 7% year–on–year to 62.6 million metric tonnes.
In Europe and the US, production increased by 1.5%, and 6.9% respectively. China registered a growth of 7.5%. Other Asian countries and other parts of the world combined registered an increase of 6.4% and 9.2% in steel production.
