The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first nine months of 2021 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 16.9% year-on-year to 43.0 million metric tons.
In Europe and the US, production increased by 17.9%, and 16.1% respectively. China registered a growth of 8.8%. Other Asian countries and other parts of the world combined registered an increase of 25.6% and 50.0% in steel production.
