Ferro Alloys Corp. (India) has made plans to build a new plant to produce 500,000t/y of stainless steel. Facor Steels is also setting up a 2000tn forging press at its existing plant to produce forged bars. This unit will have a capacity of 12,000t/y and is expected to be commissioned by April 2008.
