Stainless project in Orissa

Jindal Stainless Ltd has reaffirmed its plans to set up a 0.8 million tonnes per annum stainless steel plant at the Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex in Orissa (India) as a part of its expansion program at an investment of INR 5600 crore as it intends to reach a final capacity of 1.6 million tonnes by 2012. The first phase entailing an investment of INR 2250 crore would be completed by year-end. Work on the second phase would start simultaneously so that the plant will be commissioned by December 2009.
