Posco is reported to have confirmed that it cut prices for its stainless steel products by 15 to 20% in response to weak global steel prices. Prices of stainless steel products have been slashed by 260,000 won to 400,000 won per ton, the nation’s largest steel maker said. This is the second price cut so far this year, suggesting that the steel industry is in a downturn.
