Spot welding machine from Amada

The ID40ST spot welder from Amada America Inc. is designed to provide spark-free welds across a range of flexible welding applications. The unit’s high-frequency inverter power supply helps the unit achieve consistent welds with lower power consumption, the company says. The vertical press-type welding machine combines inverter technology with the company’s micro computer-controlled system. In addition, the welding machine can handle a variety of material types and thicknesses, including mild steel, galvanised and stainless steel, titanium, and aluminium and conductive and coated material. Capable of delivering 30,000 amps of consistent welding current, the unit uses 100 amps at 460 V. It also provides direct current, which results in shorter weld cycles, low current, and lower electrode pressure, the company says.
