Spectrometers for Japan

SPECTRO announces the receipt of a multi-million dollar order from its strategic partner, Rigaku Corporation. The order, for 65 SPECTRO CIROS ICP and SPECTRO XEPOS XRF spectrometers, is for delivery and distribution to Japan within the coming months. “This is the second volume order that Rigaku has placed with SPECTRO and it strengthens our belief that we have the right products for the very demanding Japanese market,â€? commented SPECTRO’s CEO, Tom Blades.
SPECTRO and Rigaku, the leading Japanese manufacturer of Wavelength Dispersive XRF spectrometers, began their strategic alliance in November of 1998. Since the original agreement for the distribution of the SPECTRO ICP spectrometers, the agreement has since been extended to include SPECTRO’s line of Polarized Energy Dispersive XRF spectrometers.
