Special Metals Corporation has announced the following executive-level appointments, effective immediately: Dennis L. Wanlass has been appointed to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He will have responsibility for the company’s banking relationships, treasury and cash management functions, investor and analyst relations, risk and credit management, accounting and finance. He will report directly to T. Grant John, the Company’s President and highest-ranking officer, and will be located in Huntington, West Virginia. Paul A. Totaro has been promoted to the newly-created position of Vice President, Strategic Planning & Business Development. He will be responsible for long-term strategy development and the organisation’s capital spending programme company-wide. Mr Totaro will also have accountability for new business development, the co-ordination of inter-unit synergies and facility optimisation, as well as special projects. He will report directly to T. Grant John and will continue to be located in New Hartford, NY. Ronald M. Haeberle will continue in his current role as Vice President, Specialty Businesses. He will have responsibility for managing the company’s specialty business units world-wide and will continue to report directly to T. Grant John. He will remain located in Huntington, WV.
