Sondex gains a freshwater distiller unit order

Sondex gains a 600 ton/24h freshwater distiller unit order in the Netherlands. The Sondex SDF unit includes a 3-stage freshwater distiller with specially designed titanium plates for desalination and reduces energy consumption.

A Steam Booster Unit is designed as a complete unit with a stainless steel plate and shell (SPS) heat exchanger, a hot water circulation pump and steam equipment. The unit secures a constant temperature and flow from the heat exchanger to the freshwater distiller, even if the engine is not running.

A marine pump secures a constant flow of sea water to the freshwater distiller.

The SFD unit will be used as an early production system located on the Atlanta post-salt oil field in the Santos Basin off Brazilian coast. First production from the field is expected in mid-2016.
