Great Yarmouth-based Sonar Equipment Services will now trade under the name of Subsea Technology & Rentals (STR). The rebranding intends to reflect the broader range of products and associated services they now supply to the subsea sector following a restructure and significant investment in premises, people and equipment.
The name change is part of a global growth strategy that aims to see the company double in size in the next few years. STR has made several investments in its research and development capability, a new building with larger workshop area and new test facilities. STR has moved into a modern, purpose-developed building in a riverside location at Gorleston-on-Sea. The company is currently looking to recruit technical and sales support staff with more jobs to be created as the company opens in new overseas regions.

The new name and branding better reflect our capabilities and vision for the future.”
