SMOE secures Maersk contract

Maersk Oil and Gas, a member of Danish group AP Moller, has awarded SMOE, the oil and gas division of SembCorp Utilities, its first North Sea offshore oil production platform contract.
The deal is reputedly worth some S$150 million. SMOE’s senior vice president MP Premraj said the contract is to be completed in the first quarter of 2003. Qatar sees USD 19 billion of energy investments in five years
