Simufact appoints Dr. Ralph Bernhardt

Simufact Engineering GmbH, provider of software and services in the area of process simulation in the manufacturing industry, has appointed its new head of research and development, Dr. Ralph Bernhardt. In his new role, he will be dedicated to strengthening the research activities of the company.
 
Dr. Bernhardt will work on strategic and long-term oriented topics in the R&D area. In his new position he will set a special focus on alliances and the cooperation with industry associations and science-based institutes, particularly universities. He will also be responsible for the coordination of all project related committees and other joint activities with universities and colleges, as well as supervising Simufact’s research activities, such as the AiF- or BMBF-projects.
 
“I am looking forward to the tasks and challenges my new position as head of research and development at Simufact will provide,” says Dr. Ralph Bernhardt. “As head of R&D I will represent Simufact in its already intensive collaborationwith associations and be the company’s representing member in related committees. Furthermore I will be the contact person for projects and multi- or bilateral research activities.”
 
After his academic studies of forming technology and his graduation at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, which focused on friction in die forging, Bernhardt spent the last 15 years in numerous management positions.
