Siemens Westinghouse Power Corp. has secured a USD 200 million contract to provide power generation equipment for a major new plant in Brazil, the Orlando company has said. The plant in Rio de Janeiro state, a combined-cycle unit that will run on gas and steam, will be the largest of its kind in Brazil when completed in late 2003, officials said.
