BF Series servomotors Infranor’s BF Series is a range of precision AC servomotors designed to operate in hostile environments where motors are exposed to regular washdown, often with caustic solutions. They are ideal for food processing applications, as well as sterile medical and pharmaceutical applications and are produced to IP67 and IP68 standard. The motors have a stainless shaft and housing, eliminating the problems associated with surface coatings in caustic environments, and can be modified to accept a wide range of flange mounting types. The motors have a smooth exterior with no cooling fins to trap debris and can be supplied with a range of specific surface finishes, including a high polished finish, for ease of cleaning. Different gland arrays and cable types are available and motors can be supplied with or without drain plugs. Condensation vents are fitted according to customer specifications (except for IP68 which has an internal vacuum). The motors are available in torque ranges up to 42Nm peak and are an adaptation of Infranor’s successful BLS servomotor range, providing low maintenance requirements and high reliability. Tried and tested magnetic and electrical configurations provide high-accuracy position control and low torque-ripple performance.
