Senergy wins special commendation

Global energy services company Senergy has received a special commendation at the 2012 ITP Oil & Gas Middle East Awards in recognition of a donation of software licences it made to the Petroleum Institute of Abu Dhabi.

The company was given the commendation in the Middle East National Graduate Training Scheme of the Year category at the annual industry awards ceremony. Senergy was recognised after providing Interactive Petrophysics (IP)™ software licences worth more than USD 2M to the students of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s Petroleum Institute.

“Senergy was highly commended by the judges for its contribution to development of local engineering talent in the U.A.E.,” said Daniel Canty, Group Editor, ITP Energy Titles. “The Oil & Gas Middle East Awards celebrate excellence amongst the region’s outstanding upstream industry, and seek out best in class organisations, projects and the people who have proven that by going that extra mile.”

Senergy provides fully-integrated project and asset development services across the energy industry, making it a natural partner for the Petroleum Institute which operates as a leading international educational and research centre for the oil and gas industry.

The Petroleum Institute’s masters students will be trained on Senergy’s IP™ software, an easy-to-use log analysis tool that is ideal for petrophysicists, geologists and reservoir engineers wanting to quality check their log data because they are likely to engage with the product when they graduate and go on to work with companies like the country’s state-controlled energy firms.
