Vexamus Water has launched a new, self-cleaning Emergency Overflow (EO) Screen, specially designed for pump wells, and which does not require any power. The new PumpwellEasy design has been developed specifically for pump wells (and some draw down storm tanks). The screen benefits from a non-powered backwashing process that reduces manpower by eliminating the need to handle, remove, transport or dispose of screenings. Suitable for a wide range of flows, standard units of 304 stainless steel can be selected “off the shelf” to cover a range from 20 l/s up to 170 l/s to suit the pumpwell. Fitted in to standard concrete rings for economic and straightforward construction, the Vexamus PumpwellEasy has a performance specification of 6mm 2D for retaining screenings.
