Scot instals gantry saw

Scot Forge has installed a Danobat gantry saw in order to enhance cutting flexibility. The new heavy-duty saw is highly versatile, with the ability to make two cuts at once due to its two separate mobile sawing heads. It also makes cuts in one-third of the time required for conventional band saws, while accommodating tighter tolerance requirements. The new saw can cut in two spots on one workpiece, or produce cuts simultaneously on separate parts. Saw blades can make a vertical cut, then turn 90 degrees to make a horizontal cut, or vice versa. The gantry saw can cut virtually any part from the wide range of shapes produced at Scot Forge, which includes hollows, rings, spindles, blanks, bars, and tooled forgings. It also cuts any type of ferrous or non-ferrous material.
