Sawing growth

Exotic alloy stockholder, NeoNickel, has seen a dramatic period of growth amounting to an increase in productivity of over 100% since installing three Danobat bandsaws from Prosaw, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of metal sawing machinery and material handling and measuring systems, based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

As one of Europe’s leading global suppliers of high performance alloys, NeoNickel aims to provide a complete processing service that includes pieces being cut to size, which is where Prosaw has been able to assist. With one Danobat CP520AF machine already installed since 2007, NeoNickel subsequently ordered a CP420AN machine in 2011 followed by another as part of a continuous improvement programme.

The Danobat machines have been designed to obtain the best performance in terms of both productivity and blade life, whilst every sub-function has been analysed and solved by applying the most advanced technology.

NeoNickel General Manager, Peter Moriarty stated that all three saws are operated by a single, common controller allowing operators to operate any one of the three machines, giving greater flexibility and increased efficiency.
