Saudi Arabia: Linde receives large order

Linde AG, Wiesbaden, Germany, has been awarded the contract for the construction of a facility to produce Linear Alpha Olefins from the Jubail United Petrochemical Company, a subsidiary of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC). The value of the contract for the facility to be constructed in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia is about USD 200 million. The project will be carried out by the Linde subsidiary Linde-KCA-Dresden GmbH, Dresden, in close co-operation with the Linde joint
venture LINARCO in Riad. The order encompasses engineering, delivery, assembly/construction and
monitoring of the facility and should be completed by mid-2006. The so-called a-SABLIN process (jointly developed by SABIC and Linde) will be used during the implementation.
