Santiago Church in Jerez has been suffering major structural problems in the past few years. After several different operations throughout its history, the Diocese of Asidonia-Jerez had asked the architects Emilio Yanes and Alejandro Cobo, both very well experienced in the Restoration and Conservation of the Architectural Heritage, for the constructive solution for this building, which was executed by the company Fonsan.
Stainless steel reinforced bars were used by the architects in order to deal with the regeneration, tightened and tension of the walls and established several operations using the same. The stainless steel bars used had 8, 16 and 25 mm diameters and 160 cm depth.
The stainless reinforced bars used by Fonsan for this part of the job is manufactured by Roldan and delivered by Inoxcenter in Sevilla. The conservation of the Jerez cultural inheritance for future generations largely depends on the role of the stainless steel improving its functionality and increasing its value.
