Sandvik sells Sandvik Sorting

Sandvik Sorting Systems, which bases its US headquarters in Louisville, is being acquired by Cinetic Industries, part of the Fives-Lille Group of Paris, France. Sandvik Sorting Systems, a division of Swedish industrial giant Sandvik AB, makes automated sorting machines used by logistics and retail customers. Among the businesses that use its products are postal agencies and courier services, airports and distribution centers. The company also has operations in Italy and Japan. Once the acquisition is completed, Sandvik Sorting Systems will be renamed Cinetic Sorting, according to a news release. The deal is expected to close on 30 June 2007.
