Sandvik receives large tube orders

Sandvik Steel has recently received several large orders within the strategic growth areas of special tubes for the fertiliser industry and advanced tubes for steam generators. The orders have a combined value of approximately SEK 100 million and the products are expected to be delivered during autumn 2001 and October or November 2002, respectively. The tubes for the fertiliser industry have been ordered by Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd in India and the Luzhou Natural Gas and Chemical plant in China. The steam generator tubes will be supplied to the French company, Framatome-ANP, for use in a nuclear power plant in the USA. Sandvik is the world leader in both these product areas, in which major demands are placed on safety and functionality.
