Sandvik Loniflex™

Sandvik Materials Technology will be demonstrating the advantages of its new high quality, low nickel spring wire grade Sandvik Loniflex™ at Wire 2010, along with its extensive range of precision spring materials. The theme of the stand is “See the difference” and comparisons of Sandvik’s spring wire, including the highly versatile Sandvik Springflex™, against standard spring alternatives will demonstrate the operational and performance benefits. Developed to reduce the dependency on nickel, Sandvik Loniflex has already been extensively trialed by leading spring manufacturers producing a variety of spring types with success and consistent repeatability. The new grade has the same tensile strength as AISI 302, EN 1.4310, but with half the nickel content. Suitable for a range of spring applications in consumer and industrial products it combines excellent durability with good cold working properties and good corrosion resistance.
