Sandvik Sanmac™ SAF 2205 hollow bar is now readily available on short delivery time from Sandvik Materials Technology. The stock range includes duplex hollow bar from 32mm to 250mm outside diameter and in random length from 2.5m to 6m, as standard. Sandvik duplex stainless steel hollow bar offers a significant benefit to component manufacturers with possible cost reductions of more than 40%. The combination of hollow bar and Sanmac stainless steel results in an increase in cutting speeds and feed rates, unlike other stainless steels. Tool wear decreases as a result of the inclusions within the material; sulphides and oxide inclusions improve chip breaking and decrease tool wear without affecting the material’s distinctive properties.
