Sandvik Materials Technology has appointed Mr Michael Andersson as the new Head of Product Area Tube.
Andersson joined Sandvik in 2002 when he started within the company’s Manufacturing Program, initially as a Change Leader, later becoming Manager of the program. In 2005 he moved to the Strip Product Area where he spent four years as Production Manager, before being appointed General Manager for the strip operations in Sandviken, Sweden. He has also been Production Manager for tube production in Sandviken, prior to his appointment as Business Unit Manager within Tube. He takes over as Head of Product Area Tube from Petra Einarsson who was appointed President of Sandvik Materials Technology in February.
Andersson holds a Licentiate of Technology in Industrial Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg. Before joining Sandvik he worked as a Project Manager at Ericsson Radio Systems, Global Distribution.
