Sandvik and Framatome in tubing pact

Framatome ANP, the Paris-based specialist in nuclear construction, and AB Sandvik Steel, which manufactures nuclear steam generator tubes, have entered into a non-exclusive agreement increase their market share in the steam generator manufacturing business. The agreement enables Framatome ANP and Sandvik to better anticipate changes in technical requirements and regulations, to continuously improve the quality and cost of steam generator tubing and ultimately, to improve the cost competitiveness of the completed steam generator. The companies intend to work together to supply cost-efficient products and co-operate in the development of new specifications.
