Sandmeyer waterjet cutter

Sandmeyer Steel Co. has added the fastest, most productive abrasive waterjet cutter with the installation of the Flow International Corp. 87,000psi HyperPressure Technology system. At 87,000 psi, the waterjet velocity increases beyond Mach 3, which is conducive to higher cutting pressures and more power. Greater power density makes deeper cuts for a given cutting speed and faster cuts for a given cutting depth. At 87,000psi, cutting speeds will increase up to 50%. The system has two dynamic cutting heads that will eliminate taper and improve edge quality, resulting in less striations on thicker material. Sandmeyer has also installed an extra large cutting table that will enable the unit to cut pattern sizes up to 4064mm x 6096mm. Sandmeyer Steel Co. can provide near net-shapes and intricate parts cut to the accuracy levels and close tolerances specified by its customers.
