Sandmeyer Steel Co. has announced that Stephen M. Mellor will assume the position of Inside Sales Representative at its Philadelphia (USA) headquarters. He replaces James C. Hewins who has been promoted to the position of Assistant to the General Manager – Sales and Marketing. Mr Mellor has 31 years of service with Sandmeyer Steel Co., most of them at the plant supervisory level. James Hewins, who has been with the Company for 27 years, was designated as the successor to the retiring Michael A. Gallagher in 2006, and has been training with him since that time. Mr Gallagher joined the Company in 1972.
