SA Chrome in deal with Jisco

SA Chrome’s joint venture is to supply ferrochrome to China’s Jiuquan Iron & Steel (Jisco). If all goes to plan, the first of two new ferrochrome smelting furnaces it will be building should kick in from July 2005. The deal means SA Chrome will push ahead with a second phase, bringing the third and fourth furnaces on line. These will double annual output of ferrochrome.
