Russia: LNG plant for St Petersburg

Gazprom will build a plant for production of liquid natural gas, according to the clipping service of the regional Committee for Economy and Investments. The plant will be located near Ust-Luga, through which one branch of the North European pipeline will pass. The deputy chairman of Gazprom, Nikolai Ryazanov, said that the company was considering the possibility of building of an LNG plant near St Petersburg with a capacity of 3-5 million tons and a cost of USD 1.3 billion.
