The new SRS880 sealed rotary sensor from Penny + Giles Controls (USA) is now available with an optional stainless steel housing. Resistance to corrosion means the sensor is suitable for heavy duty position sensing applications in offshore and marine environments where salt water corrosion can be a long-term problem. The SRS880 sealed rotary sensor has an 88mm diameter stainless steel housing and 12mm diameter shaft. The sensor can be mounted via three M6 threaded holes in the front face or by three M6 clearance holes through the body. Sealed to IP68M, SRS880 is suitable for use in very wet and dirty hostile environments. SRS880 is a range of 35 models with angles from 10 to 350 degrees in 10-degree increments which allows the user to match the sensitivity of the system to the application for better data acquisition and closer control.
