CAT Pumps has developed a line of 316 stainless steel and duplex SS pumps exclusively for the saltwater reverse osmosis desalination market. This is to meet the world-wide growing demand for freshwater where mostly dirty, brackish or sea water are prevalent. CAT Pumps’ 2SF, 3CP and 5CP stainless steel direct-drive models aim to offer lightweight, compact units for pleasure craft, while the larger 25 FR, 35 FR, 60 FR and 150 FR pumps are used in community water systems, offshore platforms and island support systems.
