Allegheny Technologies Inc. announced that Ray J. Groves has decided to retire from the Allegheny Technologies Board of Directors. Mr Groves informed the Board that he could no longer serve because of his demanding commitments as President and Chief Operating Officer of Marsh Inc., a subsidiary of Marsh McClennan Companies Inc. Mr Groves joined Marsh on 1 October 2001. He was a member of the Allegheny Technologies Board of Directors since May 1998.
