Queensland gives 10 million in Xmas bonuses

Over 800 employees of Queensland Nickel received AUD 10 million worth of Christmas bonuses from their boss, Mr. Clive Palmer. Palmer gave his 55 top performers new Mercedes B Class Hatch cars. 750 employees received trips for two to Fiji while the 60 employees who joined the team less than 6 months ago received trips to Port Douglas. The company was losing AUD 10 million a month prior to Palmer’s takeover in 2009. Since then, production has increased by 30%, translating into hundreds of millions of dollars for Queensland. The bonuses were given as a token of appreciation to thank the employees for their hard work and dedication.
