Brazil-based Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos do Brasil Ltda has commissioned PSI to supply PSImetals a manufacturing execution system for the new steelworks in Jeceaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos will use the components PSImetals Production and PSImetals Quality for the steelworks, rolling mill and finishing process.
Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos do Brasil is a joint venture between the French Group Vallourec and Japanese Sumitomo Metal Industries. The newly integrated plant has a total capacity of 600,000tns of seamless tubes per year.
