Profiled steel cladding

Corus Colorsteels has supplied powder coated profiled steel cladding for an award winning design project by architect, Will Alsop. They have supplied powder coated profiled steel cladding – in fuscia pink – for the roof canopy and soffit of a local authority nursery building on the tough Stonebridge Estate in Harlesden, which has been acclaimed as “a ray of light in a dark corner of Londonâ€?. The project recently won a 2005 RIBA award as well as an award from the Royal Fine Art Commission Trust. South Wales-based Corus Colorsteels’ new flat-bed powder coating line gives architects the ability to design buildings with pre-finished metal facades in virtually any color they want. The new Corus Colorsteels powder line can take flat or shallow formed metal fabrications, while most metal substrates can be coated, including stainless steel and aluminum. And apart from the bespoke colour matching service, coatings range from smooth through to coarse textures, metallic finishes and dual colours – even a special anti-graffiti finish that resists permanent ink and spray paint. The technology is also being used in company’s such as EasyJet, Fosters, Pepsi Cola, Irn Bru and Danone.
