Professional Polishing Services crowned manufactur

Professional Polishing Services were crowned ‘Manufacturing Champions’ at the Express and Star Business Awards 2013. The award recognises companies that are innovative, organized and working towards a clearly defined goal as well as investing in people, skills and new technology. Sponsored by UTC Aerospace Systems, Professional Polishing Services were chosen as the winner for their dedication to all these areas combined with the strong leadership of their Managing Director, Kirsty Davies-Chinnock.

Kirsty said, “We are thrilled to be recognized for our hard work, particularly over the last few years. Being able to invest in new production lines means that we can accelerate our growth plans for the future.”

PPS have recently installed two new polishing lines, one of which is an automatic multi-head mirror polishing and coating line. This gives additional capacity to service the increasing demand for reflective finishes, particularly the bespoke “UltraBright”, which is produced to consistently high gloss levels. The new mirror polishing line will be the most sophisticated in the country. The second investment is an additional circle polishing line to complement the current 2000mm wide machine that consistently works above capacity.

Continuing to invest is very important to PPS and they are currently looking at a further plant investment, for later in 2013.
