Product ID in harsh conditions

InfoSight has produced a large variety of metal tags and printing equipment to survive harsh environments such as high temperatures in excess of 1600F. The high-temperature line of tags Infotag(R) include a variety of colours, night glow tags, and acid-resistant tags for pickling and annealing lines. The tags are produced using 430 stainless as the base material so as to withstand corrosion and environmental conditions that standard paper or plastic cannot. Printing of the tags is achieved on demand using a laser printer that produces accurate and highly readable 1D and 2D barcodes. The Qualitag(R) line is targeted for durability, speed and cost savings per tag as the requirements. – InfoSight has also introduced its LabeLase(R), to allow manufacturers to produce automatic identification labels directly onto their products such as catalytic converters, engine blocks, pipe products and automotive components. These on-demand high-contrast black and white labels become an integral part of the final product and eliminate the need for paper labels or adhesives. The LabeLase(R) labels are produced using laser printing and are very accurate. 1D or 2D bar codes achieve high-read rates using standard inexpensive scanners. LabeLase can survive fluids and temperatures up to 650 degrees C.
