Pressure sensors for hydraulic systems

A new range of thin-film-technology pressure sensors is available from Sensor-Technik. It is designed to meet the demands of industrial hydraulics and the mobile vehicle market by combining rugged construction with a wide temperature range. With its all-stainless steel construction and IP67 sealing, the A09 is a pressure sensor optimised for hydraulic systems. The sensors can handle temperatures from -40 to +110C, and pressure ranges cover 10 to 1000bar. Linearity is typically better than 0.2% full scale, and pressure hysteresis and repeatability are specified as better than 0.1% full scale. The A09 employs thin-film measurement technology: the measuring element and complete sensor are constructed in stainless steel, eliminating the need for oil filling and for perishable sealing components. Electrical connection is via standard M12 connector, and the A09 offers either 4-20mA or 0-10V output signals. Pressure connection is via standard G1/4 male thread.
