Premier Hytemp plans 2nd facility in Singapore

Premier Hytemp, a provider of metal-based solutions to the oil and gas industry, is increasing its engineering capability in Singapore with the development of a second manufacturing facility.

The USD 20M investment by the Edinburgh-headquartered company will create a 67,000ft2 precision engineering facility to serve the downhole tools, wellhead and subsea tree markets. This will complement the established Premier Hytemp manufacturing operation in Singapore that primarily serves the wellhead and subsea tree markets.

The company has acquired land for the development adjacent to its existing 78,000ft2 facility in the industrial area of Jurong in western Singapore, and expects to start construction later this year. The strategic location offers easy access to Singapore and throughout the Asia with excellent port facilities for export shipments.

Campbell MacPherson, CEO of Premier Hytemp, said: “The expanded scope of the new facility and our ability to manage products from raw material through to fully tested, final machined and assembled consignments – supported by extensive in-house technical expertise developed over 30 years – means that we are strongly positioned to deepen our relationships with established customers and attract new business.â€?
