Power plants in Australia

AlintaGas Ltd (Perth, Australia) plans to construct up to 1200 MW of new power plants at a cost of USD 850 million by 2005. AlintaGas recently announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Alcoa World Alumina Australia to develop three 120 MW natural gas fired co-generation power plants at Alcoa’s three alumina refineries in Western Australia Province.
