Acesita (Brazil), an affiliate of Arcelor Mittal, may acquire another service centre in order to expand its distribution arm, Acesita Serviços. Acesita would be interested in acquiring Metalcorte’s plant in Caxias do Sul, in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul. Metalcorte officials have admitted being in talks with Acesita, but gave no further details to the local press.
