Posco promotes zero-nickel stainless

Posco, the largest steelmaker in South Korea, has developed a new stainless steel, graded POS445NF. This steel is claimed to be a  nickel-free product and equivalent to 304 stainless steel, announced an official from Posco. The target sales of this new stainless steel will be around 2000 tons per year initially from the third quarter of this year, and then raised up to 10,000tns next year, the official added. The stainless steel is a substitute for nickel containing stainless steel products, and is priced 50% lower.
