POSCO held its Board of Directors meeting in February at the Seoul POSCO Center to select the directorship candidates. The Board recommended Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies President Ilsup Kim, Seah Law Firm Partner Wuyeong Seon, and Seoul National University Department of Economics Professor Donghyeon Ahn as Outside Director candidates, and POSCO CHEMTECH President Jinil Kim, POSCO E&C Vice President Yeonghun Lee, and POSCO Executive Director Dongjun Yoon as External Director candidates.
For the first time since its founding, all inside directors of POSCO have experience working in investment companies, and are expected to create a Board of Directors that can understand opposing viewpoints better. These candidates were selected through qualification evaluations by the Board of Directors Candidate Recommendation Committee and the Board of Directors itself, and will be elected as directors at the General Shareholders’ Meeting scheduled for March 14th.
