Poland: power plant

Fortum is building a new combined heat and power plant in Czestochowa, Poland. The value of the investment is EUR 95 million and is expected to be completed for production by the end of 2009. The new power plant will use coal and biomass as fuels. The amount of biofuel can go up to 30% of the whole fuel mix. The production capacity will be 120MW of heat and 64MW of electricity. Fortum Czestochowa SA will be responsible for the new plant operation.
