UK-based Parkegate has acquired metal strip processing equipment specialist KCS Herr-Voss (UK) Ltd. KCS Herr-Voss (UK) makes equipment for ferrous and non-ferrous strip operations ranging from pickling and heat treatment, to electro-chemical processing, coating and coil handling, and for both continuous and discontinuous lines. It is also active in process line upgrades and project management. Following this acquisition, Parkegate, which last year moved to new, larger premises near Bournemouth, now comprises two divisions – Parkegate Engineering and KCS Herr-Voss (UK). Parkegate Engineering designs, supplies and modernises strip rolling and processing lines for ferrous and non-ferrous metals world-wide. KCS Herr-Voss (UK) has also recently relocated to larger facilities in Halesowen, West Midlands. Recent contracts have included a cleaning line for precision stainless strip in Romania, a phosphate coating line for zinc strip in the Netherlands, and a steel pickle line accumulator capacity increase in the UK.
