Papresa to rebuild Spanish mill

In June 2001, Papresa SL, formerly La Papelera Espanola (Renteria, Spain), placed an order with Voith Paper for the rebuild of the complete No. 5 production line. Papresa, one of the major newsprint producers in Spain, aims to further improve the quality of the papers produced and increase production. The speed of the paper machine will be increased from 980 m/min to 1400 m/min. As part of this extensive modernisation, a new Voith deinking system will be implemented. The system will produce 350 t/day DIP finished stock from collected household waste, ONP and OMG. Together with the water, sludge and rejects treatment, the planned DIP subsystems represent proven technology for the stock preparation system for the production of improved newsprint.
