Pakistan energy investments

Chief Economist, Planning Commission of Pakistan Dr Pervez Tahir has said that the government has approved 28 development projects worth Rs 193 billion to improve living standards. Of this sum, Rs 42 billion will be allocated to seven projects including the Chashma Nuclear Project, Rs 13.5 billion to improve the power supply system in Karachi, including the refurbisment of a power plant on Bin Qasim, a thermal unit and a gas turbine. Dr Tahir alsp urged the need to conserve water that is depleting day by day and situation needs taking emergent measures.
