Outokumpu changes management at Tornio Works

On 15 September Pekka Erkkilä, the Executive Vice President for General Stainless and a member of the Executive Committee, took over the management of Tornio Works in addition to his current duties. Antti Pihko, who was responsible for the Tornio Works during the operationally challenging time from late 2005, will move by mutual agreement to manage the Kemi Mine. Tornio Works is part of the General Stainless division and includes the steel and ferrochrome production in Tornio, the chrome mine in Kemi and a processing centre in Terneuzen, the Netherlands.
